東洋言語学院では、2月16日に防災事故防止訓練を行いました
今回の訓練では、避難訓練の他、初期消火や応急救護について学びました

今回はなんと、葛西消防署の方たちに来ていただきました！
心臓マッサージやAEDの使い方を含め、応急救護の方法を説明していただいた後で、何人かの学生たちには実際に体験してもらいました
学生たちも「大切なことだから」と言って、みんな真面目に取り組んでいました
その他にも、消火器の使い方や日避難場所の確認など、みなさんが日本で安心して安全に生活するために大切なことをたくさん学ぶことができました

災害があった時には、まずは自分の命を守るのが大切です
その上で、他の人のことも助けられるようになるといいですね！
いつ起こるか分からない災害に備えて、みなさんもしっかりと準備をしておきましょう！

Disaster and accident prevention drill

On 16 February, Toyo Language School held an accident prevention drill.
In addition to evacuation drill, the participants learnt about initial firefighting and first aid during this drill.

This time, we had people from the Kasai Fire Station!
After explaining first aid methods, including cardiac massage and the use of an AED, some of the students were given a chance to try it for themselves.
The students were all very serious about it, saying that it was important!
In addition, the students were able to learn many other important things for a safe and secure life in Japan, such as how to use a fire extinguisher and how to check the evacuation site on the day of the disaster.

When there is a disaster, the first thing to do is to save your own life.
On top of that, hopefully you will be able to help others as well!
So, let’s all make sure we’re all prepared for a disaster that could happen at any moment.
