8月末、TLSでは防災訓練を行いました
そこで学生のみなさんに体験をしてもらったのが起震車です
起震車というのは、実際に大きな地震を体験できる車のこと

日本は地震が多いので、大きな地震が起こった時に
自分の身を自分で守れる行動が取れるように、この訓練を行ないました

大きな地震が来た時に、まずどうすればいいですか？
まずは自分の安全を守ることが最優先です
テーブル等の下に隠れて、落ちてくる物や崩れてくるものから自分を守ります
テーブルの下に隠れる時は、テーブルの脚をしっかり持って
テーブルも自分も動かないような低い姿勢になってください

この貴重な起震車体験は、学生を怖がらせるために行うものではありません
体験をした後と前では、本当に地震が起きた時の行動が変わります
学校の先生は24時間365日学生のみなさんと一緒にいることはできません
災害を防ぐこともできません
ですから、離れていても学生のみなさんの安全のために行う、とても必要な訓練になります

Do you know an earthquake-simulation vehicle?

At the end of August, we held a disaster prevention drill at TLS.
So we had students experience an earthquake-simulation vehicle.
An earthquake-simulation vehicle is a car where you can actually experience a big earthquake.

We have a lot of earthquakes in Japan, so we conducted this drill so that we can take action to protect ourselves when a big earthquake occurs.
Do you know what do you have to do first when a big earthquake occurs?
Protecting your own safety is the first priority.
Hide under a table to protect yourself from falling or collapsing objects.
When you hide under a table, hold the table legs firmly and stay low so that neither you nor the table can move.
This earthquake-simulation vehicle experience is not meant to scare students.
After and before the experience, your behavior will change when an earthquake really happens.
Teachers can’t be with students twenty four hours a day, three hundred sixty five days a year.
We can’t prevent disasters, so it’s a very necessary training to be done for students’ safety even if students are away.
If you are studying in Japan or thinking about studying in the future, it is safe to prepare for a disaster.
