転出/転入届・転居届|Notification of moving out/moving in・Change of Address Notice

住んでいる市区町村以外の場所へ引越しをする時に必要な3つの届けを知っていますか?

例えば、千葉県から東京都へ引越しをする時や、江戸川区から新宿区へ引っ越す場合
引越しが決まったら、まずは今まで住んでいた地域の役所へ行き「転出届」をもらいます

転出届とは、別の市区町村へ引っ越しますよという宣言のようなもの
住んでいる地域の役所へ引越しの報告が必要です

そしてゲットした転居届を持って、新しく住む家の市区町村の役所へ行き「転入届」を出します
転入届は、この町に引っ越してきましたよというお知らせ
転出届をもらってから2週間以内に転入届を出さなければいけません
なので、引越しをする直前に転出届をもらうと安心

そして最後に、同じ市区町村内に引っ越しをする人も、別の地域へ引越しをする人も提出が必要なのが、「転居届」
転居届とは、郵便局へ住所が変わることを知らせるもの
引越し前住所への郵便物や荷物を新しい家に転送してもらうのに必要です

Notification of moving out/moving in・Change of Address Notice

Do you know these three types of notification required when you move to a place other than the city, town, or village where you live?

For example, if you are moving from Chiba Prefecture to Tokyo, or from Edogawa-ku to Shinjuku-ku.
When you decide to move, first go to the municipal office of the area where you have been living and get a “Notification of moving out”.

The “Notification of moving out” is like a declaration that you are moving to a different city, town, or village.
You need to report your moving to the municipal office of the area where you live.

Then, take the “Notification of moving out” to the municipal office of your new home and submit the “Notification of moving in”.

The “Notification of moving in” is a notice that you have moved to this town.
You must submit the “Notification of moving in” within two weeks after receiving the “Notification of moving out”.
So, it’s better to get the “Notification of moving out” just before moving.

Finally, whether you are moving within the same municipality or to a different area, you need to submit a “Change of Address Notice”.
The “Change of Address Notice” is a form to notify the post office about changing of address.
It is necessary to have mail and packages to previous address forwarded to new address.

It might be a difficult topic, but very important.
