The First Class “Entrance Ceremony” to Achieve Your Goals in Japan

On April 11, 2024, the entrance ceremony was held at the Kasai Community Center.
Toyo Language School’s entrance ceremony is not only a celebratory event but also the very first class.
During the ceremony we expressed the values of Toyo Language School, and introduced the education support available to our students. We also asked, “Why did you come to Japan? What will you be able to do by spending time at TLS? What kind of person can I become using the knowledge I gain at TLS?”



After receiving warm speeches from all the guests, the master of ceremony shifted from her planned speech to one she typically uses in class. Suddenly the solemn ceremony venue transformed into a large classroom!
Her speech touched on the following questions. “How have alumni and current students grown since entering the school?” And “What goal are you moving towards?” By presenting this in the form of a speech, the new students were given another opportunity to reflect on themselves.


The ceremony ended with a gift of a performance from gospel ensemble!
The main vocalist of this gospel group is an alumni of TLS!

293 new students from 32 countries gathered at the entrance ceremony. New students appeared nervous before the ceremony, but after “the first class” concluded, they returned home with smiles!
