ここ最近、ようやく春らしい暖かさが感じられるようになってきました
お花見や散歩など、外に出かけたくなる季節ですね

お花見と言えば桜ですが、桜にもたくさんの種類があります
その中でも最も代表的なものが、ソメイヨシノです
関東地方で植栽されている桜の多くは、このソメイヨシノで、
東京では今週末あたりから、見ごろを迎えるそうです
ソメイヨシノの花は、咲き始めは淡いピンク色ですが、
日数が経つにつれて白っぽくなっていきます

また、他の桜よりも花が咲く時期が早いカワヅザクラは、既に満開です
カワヅザクラは2月ごろから開花を始め、その後1か月間と、
長い期間花を咲かせ続けます
花は非常に濃いピンク色をしており、
鮮やかに春の訪れを教えてくれます

日本には川辺や公園など、お花見ができるところがたくさんあります

Cherry blossoms

These days, we can finally feel the warmth of spring.
This is the season when people want to go outside for cherry blossom viewing and walking.

Cherry blossom is the most popular type of hanami, but there are many varieties of cherry trees.
Among them, the most representative one is Someiyoshino.
Most of the cherry trees planted in the Kanto region are Someiyoshino, and they are expected to reach their peak in Tokyo this weekend.
Someiyoshino flowers are pale pink at the beginning of flowering, but they turn white as the days go by.

Kawazuzakura cherry trees, which bloom earlier than other cherry trees, are already in full bloom.
Kawazuzakura cherry trees start to flower around February and continue to flower for as long as a month afterwards.
The flowers are a very deep pink colour, and are a vivid reminder of the arrival of spring.

There are many places in Japan where you can enjoy viewing cherry blossoms, such as riverside areas and parks.
