今日のテーマは日本の基本的な交通ルールパート4！
パート1から読んでくれている人は、日本の交通ルールについて詳しくなってきたと思います
まだ読んでいない人は、是非読んでくださいね！
今回は、自転車の交通ルールについてもっと詳しく紹介します

①　車道の左端、または自転車専用道路で運転をする
「普通自転車歩道通行可」の標識がある歩道は自転車で通ることができます
自転車で通行することができない歩道を通りたい時は自転車に降りて、自転車を手で押しながら歩いてください
②　一時停止の標識がある交差点では、自転車も一時停止が必要
一時停止をする必要があるのは車だけではなくて、自転車も同じです
③　必ずブレーキの付いている自転車で一般道路を走る
ノーブレーキピストと呼ばれる、競技用の自転車はすぐに止まることができないので危険です
④　一方通行の道路では、自転車も逆走ができないので要注意
一方通行の標識に「自転車を除く」という表示ある場合だけ、自転車で逆走をしても違法にはなりません
しかし、一方通行の道は細いです
逆走をすると車が向かってくるので、注意をしながら道路の左側をゆっくり走るようにしましょう

忘れやすかったり、以外と知られていないルールが多いです
ルールを思い出せるくらい、時間に余裕を持つのも大切ですね
周りの人と自分を守る行動を意識しましょう

Today’s topic is Basic Traffic Rules in Japan Part 4!
If you’ve been reading this since part 1, you’re probably getting more familiar with the traffic rules in Japan!
If you haven’t read it yet, please do!
This time, we’ll introduce more about the traffic rules for bicycles!

(1) Drive on the left side of the roadway or on bicycle-only roads.
Bicycles are allowed on sidewalks marked with “Normal Bicycle Sidewalk Access” signs.
If you want to walk on a sidewalk where bicycles are not allowed, please get off your bicycle and walk while pushing your bicycle with your hand.
(2) Bicycles must also stop at intersections with “Pause” signs.
It is not only cars that need to pause, but bicycles as well.
(3) Always ride bicycles with brakes on public roads.
Competition bicycles, called “no brake piste,” are dangerous because they can’t stop immediately.
4) Bicycles are not allowed to ride in the opposite direction on one-way streets.
It is not illegal to ride a bicycle in the opposite direction on a one-way street if the sign says “except for bicycles”.
However, one-way streets are narrow.
If you ride in the wrong direction, cars will come at you, so be careful and ride slowly on the left side of the road!

Many of the rules are easy to forget or are not well known!
It is also important to have enough time to remember the rules!
Be aware of how to protect yourself and the people around you!
