TLS original textbook|CHANGE
We named it “CHANGE” with the wishes of changing world, Japanese language education, and ourselves
“CHANGE” is a Japanese language textbook developed for students who are just starting to learn Japanese. The most significant feature of “CHANGE” is that it is incomplete when students get this textbook. Throughout your study abroad experience in Japan, you will fill these pages with your thoughts, the information you acquire, and the new vocabulary you learn. In just 3 months, you will have created a unique “learning process” in the form of a textbook that’s one-of-a-kind in the world.
The beginner level is often the most burdensome because there’s so much to memorize every day. The learning materials reflect TLS’s new learning style and are designed to motivate you every day.
A Textbook for International Students
This textbook is designed specifically for international students, not for all Japanese language learners. It incorporates real-life situations that international students might encounter, making it practical for everyday use. By imagining situations commonly faced by international students, it’s easier to picture how to use the Japanese you’ve learned. There are plenty of exercises for practicing speaking about yourself and using Japanese in real-world contexts.
Different Lesson Structures Every Time
“CHANGE” features lessons that start with listening, reading, speaking, and thinking, with each section structured and taught in a different way. We want students who are just starting to learn Japanese to find a study method that suits them and to understand that the best way to study changes depending on the lesson’s content.
A Portfolio only for you
When you open “CHANGE”, you’ll notice a grid-like layout that integrates the textbook and notebook into one. You can write notes and what you’ve learned in the margins. This will allow you to practice writing kanji in a balanced way. These notes will become your personal treasure, summarizing the results of your study after 3 months. By actively taking notes, you’ll find it easier to recall what you’ve learned in class. Especially at the beginner level, reviewing and using the Japanese you’ve learned is essential.
